A blend of Vermentino, Ugni Blanc and Grenache Blanc, the Bonpas captures the Luberon in a bottle. With big, friendly tree-fruit notes in the foreground and a lovely, lightly herbal finish, it’s effortlessly charming and perfectly balanced. If you’ve even been to the South of France and come home craving the affordable and delicious white wine you’d have at the bistro- this is what you’ve been missing!
This is perfectly content in a glass after work or as an aperitif before sitting down to dinner, but that shouldn’t discount its pairing potential. I’d happily put this next to any manner of fish or fowl- though I ended up cracking into it with some Saag Paneer and was incredibly pleased. However, what I really want with this is a classic salade niçoise. You know we sell tinned fish too, right?
