Chateau d'Estoublon - Roseblood Rose 2024
Price: $27.99
Sale Price: $21.99
Chateau d’Estoublon has been making wine in Provence for over 500 years but is embarking on a new chapter. One of the new owners is Jean-Guillaume Prats, former President/CEO of Lafte-Rothschild and Cos d’Estournel. Yeah… he knows a thing or two about making great wines. He brought in Victor Joyeaux as winemaker. A native of Montpellier, Victor travelled the world, working in South Africa, New Zealand, Argentina and California, including eight years as the winemaker at the legendary Cloudy Bay.
A blend of 65% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 15% Cinsault and 5% Rolle (Vermentino). Grenache provides the rounded structure along with notes of cherries, raspberries and spice. The Syrah adds a little color and the slight tannins that come along. Cinsault, known for its finesse, provides balance and delicate aromas. Rolle, a white grape, adds a burst of acidity and freshness to the wine, rounding out the package. The Roseblood rose shows more richness and fruit than we normally expect from Provence, with strawberries and white peach melding harmoniously with a concentrated mineral tone that buoys its floral tones. Refreshing and delicious for the warm days ahead, the wine also possesses enough oomph to drink on the cold nights we all know are bound to come back, if only for a week or two!

Vinous Media: 90 Points
The 2024 Rosé Roseblood impresses with its depth and focus, delivering an enticing blend of spiced cherry, mint and apricot. The finish kicks in with noticeable white pepper grip, lending some seriousness to this otherwise lighthearted wine. It's a style that works, that's for sure.
Wine Enthusiast: 90 Points
Vibrant peach and pear meld with fresh cut grass on the nose. The palate takes a second to hit then explodes with stony minerality and classic Provence bitters.
