50% Semillon, 50% Sauvignon Blanc aged 9 months in oak barrels, 50% of which are new. This is a 50/50 wine all the way!
The golden fruit perfume bursts from the glass with aromas of fresh pineapple and lemon oil. There’s vanilla, fresh butter, citrus, apricot and lime to boot. Intoxicating, really. When you finally dive in for a sip, you’re greeted by a full-bodied white loaded with apple and pineapple flavors. The oak lends a firm structure, making this one of the few whites that can stand up to hefty meats like pork or chicken. It would be absolutely perfect with scallops, prawns, oven-baked fishes, dishes with a white cream sauce, sweetbreads, light cheeses, and foie gras.

Silky with clear weight and a clear grip through the palate. Very much enjoyed the main estate wine in this vintage also, but this bottling has the edge in terms of clarity of fruit flavour and persistency. Very good, still with the Graves balance and fresh acidities that you expect.

The 2019 Château De Chantegrive Caroline Blanc is based on 50% Semillon, 45% Sauvignon, and the rest Sauvignon Gris. Its lighter gold hue is followed by a beautiful, medium-bodied, richly textured white with notes of honeyed citrus, white flowers, and minty herbs. One of the finest whites I've tasted from this estate, it has freshness, richness, and length. It's well worth seeking out.
