Domaine de la Solitude Description
Domaine de la Solitude's 2024 Côtes du Rhône is a harmonious blend of 45% Grenache, 45% Syrah, and 10% Mourvèdre, sourced from the stony, limestone, and clay soils characteristic of the southern Rhône Valley. This wine presents a beautiful ruby color and an intense nose of red fruits, complemented by hints of black pepper and spices from the Syrah. On the palate, it is supple and generous, with a fine and elegant tannic structure. The grapes are carefully sorted and destemmed before undergoing fermentation in concrete vats, with maceration lasting approximately 25 days. The wine is then aged for one year in concrete and stainless-steel vats, preserving its freshness and fruit-forward character. This Côtes du Rhône pairs excellently with cold meats, grilled red meats, as well as Asian cuisine, particularly dishes with sweet and sour sauce, Italian fare, and a variety of cheeses.
