Impressive fragrance and freshness are married to deep mulberries and ripe strawberries, and all this is wrapped around an ample tannin structure on the medium-bodied palate. Plenty of drive at the long, quite compact finish.

A lovely, seductive version, with full ripeness yet balanced restraint to the round, warm notes of red licorice and cherry, flecked with lavender and vanilla bean. A stream of graphite matches the ripeness, making for a perfumed, incense-driven, tangy finish, with dried herbs, turmeric and earth. Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre and Cinsault.

Based on 80% Grenache with smaller amounts of Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Cinsault and aged 15-16 months in French oak foudres, the 2023 Châteauneuf Du Pape Télégramme offers ripe black cherries, minty herbs, flowers, and pepper. It's medium-bodied and has a charming, juicy, elegant mouthfeel with soft, integrated tannins and outstanding length.
