"The 2023 Planetes Carinyena Blanca is all White Carignan, a variety the producer discovered but was not accepted into the appellation. The family has also pushed to have lower ABV requirements for the wines to be accepted as Priorat and this has slowly happened as well – with the 2025 vintage, the whites can be as low as 12.5% rather than the previous 13%. Barrel and concrete egg-fermented after a meticulous selection in the vineyard, the wine is creamy and balanced, tasting of earth and pear, just outstanding in its balance and light-bodied complexity.
