Alvarinho is the Portugese name for Albarino, a grape that needs little introduction to our customers, who have been quaffing the Spanish version for years. One sip of this gem, and you'll be thankful our friends at Ole Imports took a turn south one day... 100% Alvarinho from small garden plots with vines planted as far back as 1910! This delicious little white is fresh and vibrant, with aromas of peach, lemongrass and passion fruit. It’s bright with stone fruits and has plenty of complexity, with crisp stony minerals and zippy acidity. A great porch sipper, perfect for green salads and fresh shellfish. Or sit on the porch and quaff it down with some cornbread and butter – just like they do in Portugal! Seriously, that’s the traditional food – maybe we’re all just Portugese at heart down here in the South!
