Sale $13.99
93 pts Wine Spectator
In the history of the Wine Spectator, there have been only FOUR other New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs to merit 93 pts with a retail under $20, the last coming in 2005. That’s out of 2,065 sub $20 NZ Sauv Blancs reviewed!
That Allan Scott has delivered one of the all-time greats is not much of a surprise, though. He has worked every harvest since 1973 and is credited with planting some of region’s most famous vineyards, including the very first. In 1990, Allan and his wife Catherine established Scott Family Winery as one of the first independent wineries of Marlborough. And, go figure, the Rapaura area along the northern edge of the Wairau Valley where Scott planted his vineyard has become renowned as the most prized location in Marlborough. Put it all together and, here we are!
“Stylish, generous and intense, featuring lemon curd, apricot and lime sherbet flavors that are vivid and mouthwatering, accented by details of matcha green tea, white pepper and passion fruit. Shows excellent follow-through on the finish.” Reply to order. |
