I know it is hard to think about a rich, lush Bordeaux when it is 90+ degrees, but I also know you enjoy Bordeaux. And I know this baby will long be sold out when the weather turns colder... man, I know a lot! Les Terrasses de Tour Saint Christophe St. Emillion Grand Cru 2016 (label for illustration) Sale $24.99 - Best US Price!!!
Six Pack $21.99
90 pts James Suckling
You may recognize the name – “Tour Saint Christophe” – it has been our number one wine from 2015, 2016 and 2018 Bordeaux Futures offers. Its combination of quality and price has been unbeatable!
Grand Cru St. Emilion, rated 90 pts, as low as $21.99? Grab it quick!
90% Merlot, 10% Cabernet France. This wine comes from young vines that were replanted by new owners earlier this decade. Before replanting, they terraced a section of the vineyards they thought was exceptional. Yeah… guess where these come from? Terraces = Terrasses. One can only imagine what the future holds for this estate considering their other sections are producing 94-97 pt wine!
If you’ve enjoyed some of the 2015 or 2016, then you already know what I am talking about. But while you wait for those to age a little, you can dive right into this one. This wine is aged entirely in cement tanks – the intention being to make it accessible young. Like, I dunno… this weekend?
“I like the aromas of blackberries, mushrooms and bark that flow through to a palate with a medium body, fine-grained tannins and a fresh finish. A thoroughly delicious wine from Château Tour Saint Christophe. Drink now and enjoy.” JS
“Nice nose of crushed berries. Black cherry, liquorice, elegant on the palate and well balanced. Round wine, good structure with elegant tannins on a finish with slightly oaky notes. The minerality that is specific to Tour Saint Christophe is well represented here” winemaker note
