I will keep this super short. The winery has left the importer, and I was only able to grab the last six cases. Pricing will rise to about $30 a bottle with the new importer.

Why such clamor?

Simple, Vincent Ledy is a rising star starting to get noticed by the critics.

And this wine comes from a small parcel of 70 year-old vines located just across the road from the Grand Cru vineyard of Clos Vougeot. Only six barrels were produced.  (I’ve marked on the map where the vineyard is.)

If you like red Burgundy, just grab this. I don’t have much. For the money, I am hard-pressed to think of a better “pop and pour” Burg.
