Medium-bodied, it floods the mouth with singularly perfumed fruit layers, with a chewy frame and wicked freshness, finishing long and evolving. Wow! Just a pup, give this another year or two in bottle and drink it over the next 10-15 years.”- WA
 
"The Bedrock Heritage Wine is a reference-point wine that vividly illustrates the personality and character that make Sonoma field blends so distinctive. It is mostly Zinfandel, but includes important components of Carignane and Mataro that are picked together and co-fermented. (The exception is one tiny block of Carignane that is fermented alone and then added to the main wine.) The idea of the field blend is so ingenuous and remains incredibly relevant, even in today’s world. One of the challenges with Zinfandel is that it can soak up in alcohol during fermentation. The solution? Co-ferment with Carignane and Mataro, both of which tend to ripen later, and are therefore being picked slightly underripe when the field is harvested. It is the marriage of the grapes in the tank and the balance of fruit of varying levels of ripeness that so often yields magical results, not just at Bedrock, but at other vineyards that were planted in a similar manner."

Bedrock Evangelho Heritage '18 - Sale $39.99 -  94 Vinous - "The 2018 Evangelho Heritage Wine is so alluring. Sweet cherry, pomegranate, blood orange and perfumed red roses all grace this silky, captivating wine from Bedrock. Dollops of Mataro and Carignan round out this field blend, but it is the high percentage of Zinfandel, and its bright acid profile, that carries the day. This is such a gorgeous and expressive wine."

Bedrock Old Vine Zin '18 - Sale $27.99 -  91 Vinous - "The 2018 Zinfandel Old Vine is bright, floral and beautifully perfumed. Crushed red berries, flowers and sweet spice give the 2018 a very pretty sense of lift. In 2018, the Old Vine is especially gracious and light on its feet. The blend incorporates fruit from a number of top sites, including Bedrock, Teldeschi, Esola, Pagani, Papera, Evangelho and Pato."
