So, what we’re looking at is a beautiful Pinot Noir from a prominent California Winemaker produced primarily for by-the-glass placements in New York and Massachusetts. With, you know, everything, these sorts of wines aren’t in the normal demand by restaurants, so wine shops like yours truly are getting deals normally reserved for the uber-metropolitan restaurants of the Northeast. And no, I’m not gonna say who the man behind the curtain is, mostly because contract lawyers terrify me.

But, this is a ruthlessly juicy pinot noir from cool-climate vineyards throughout California- a delicious blend that was designed from the ground up to be enjoyed by the carafe at trendy bars and urbane restaurants and sold to you by the glass at outlandish markup. It’s, as Todd would say, “Sluggable”, with fresh cherry and blackberry flavors alongside some zinging strawberry jam and a hint of spice for just the right amount of complexity. It’s just, well, fun!

And, honestly, that’s what I adore about it. It’s light, breezy, playful, and feels effortless in a way that I really appreciate. It might just be my new favorite after-work wine- so I’d snag what you can before I take it all!
