Is there anything Jean-Marc and Eliane Lafage can’t do? Reds, rose, white… the couple is on fire! To the mix, let's add this slightly sparkling gem...

For starters, just look at that bottle! It just begs to be drunk. Or given as a gift! Okay, but what’s it like, right?

Well, in France, the wine is labeled Lafabuleuse! Suffice to say, it IS fabulous!

A blend of Vermentino, Muscat d’Alexandrie, Viognier, Sauvignon, Colombard, and Viura. Wait… what? Yeah, I know. It’s a crazy blend! Eliane is in charge here, using her experience in Italy as a consultant. She harvests each grape separately, at the precise time to obtain optimal ripeness from each. The grapes are kept under gas to prevent oxidation, and at near freezing to protect the flavors while harvest is completed. Only after harvest is complete are the grapes blended and then fermented. Fermentation is done at very cold temperatures to preserve the bright aromatics and intense flavors.

For fun, Eliane keeps a little bit of CO2 trapped in the wine, resulting in just the slightest bit of tingle on the tongue when you drink it! "Buleuse" means "bubbles".. Lafa(ge) Buleuse  = Fabulous! get it?

The aromas and flavors are a veritable kaleidoscope – mint, orange blossom, lemon peel, rose petals, white peaches, Bosc pears, greengage plums, green apples… oh my… every whiff and sip brings a new element to the party! And, seriously, that is what this baby is meant for – parties! (Just be responsible...) Everything from the bottle to the label to the wine is going to please even the finickiest of folks!
