That’s because the wine is produced from an estate-owned, single vineyard located to the west of Sancerre. Jolivet treats the vineyards and grapes the same as he does in Sancerre – environmentally friendly viticulture, natural yeast fermentation, and minimal intervention. No wonder this acts like a $30 Sancerre, because the only difference is the location of the vineyard.
