100% Pinot Noir from a tiny .43 hectare vineyard with clay and limestone soils, and 20-25 year old vines.
“We really have a feeling, while tasting this wine that our elders, when planting Pinot Noir on this plot of Les Clous, were not wrong. The fruit fell in love with its terroir. We feel the purity of Pinot Noir, made profound by the presence of fine and fleshy tannins and by the incredible freshness of the fruit. On the palate, the minerality extends the sensation of a complex, structured and balanced wine capable of detaching itself from its fruit to seek a more holistic, more celestial definition of the terroir. This wine gives off a strong vibration which oscillates between aromatic finesse supported on the finish by a woodiness which prolongs the palate, and an expression of fruit, slender by the mineral presence of its terroir. A great wine which can be tasted now after having been opened a few hours prior or in few years, 3 to 5 years to confirm this strong link that can exist between the grape and its terroir.”
