The 2020 Sylvaner Midelberg is from young vines in the Grand Cru Zotzenberg and other vineyards in Mittelbergheim. The wine shows a clear, ripe and elegant, finely saline bouquet of intense white and yellow-fleshed fruits. Round and refined on the palate, with fine tannins and lingering salinity, this is an elegant and finely tannic Sylvaner with intense and well-concentrated fruit. Still young, this is another excellent white for the menu. 13% stated alcohol. Screw-cap closure. Tasted in November 2022.
