100% Aglianico from Taurasi in Campania, southern Italy, just east of Naples. Pulled from clay and limestone soils at about 1,000 ft elevation. Fermented in stainless tanks then aged 6 months in 2nd-use oak barrique. Full bodied, with firm, structured tannins. Loads of deep red and purple fruit seem to last forever!

The 2024 Irpinia Aglianico Taurì opens with crushed blackberries and violets complicated by wet stone and citrus zest. Brisk acidity guides tart wild berry fruits across the palate. Steely minerality meets a tinge of dark chocolate as the 2024 finishes gently tannic and long.
