Caparsa Description
97% Sangiovese, 3% Colorino. Vino Doccio a Matteo 2021 is produced from grapes magnificently ripened in Caparsa predominantly in the vineyard of the same name. The wine is dark red in colour. The aroma is reminiscent of dark fruit and violets. In the mouth, the tannins are fine but dense, with a very long persistence. A wine of great longevity, on average it can mature over 15 years.

"The 2021 Chianti Classico Riserva Doccio a Matteo is a brooding, virile wine. The darker side of Sangiovese comes through in this somber, imposing Riserva. Black cherry, plum, leather, graphite, chocolate and cloves stain the palate. There's tremendous substance here. This explosive Riserva cries for the dinner table. It's another superb effort from Caparsa. Drink 2025-2041"
