“The 2022 Monoparcelle 469 is a welcoming, tender Sancerre, ushering you in with its rounded texture and ripe fruit. Full and expansive, it caresses the mouth without being opulent. This high level of concentration is apparent, but what sets this wine apart is the calmness—it's like it has done a yoga class. It's about as far from a quaffing Sancerre as you are going to get. Elderflower, nectarine and lees-derived savory notes linger on the long, chalk-laced finish.”
Wine Advocate: 94 Points
“Crafted from old vines of a massal selection on Kimmeridgian soil situated in the lieu-dit Les Sentiers in the commune of Sury-en-Vaux, the 2022 Sancerre Monoparcelle 469 evokes aromas of minerals, fresh-cut grass and hints of citrus complemented by deeper notes of pear and white peach. Medium to full-bodied, seamless and mouth coating, it’s perfectly balanced with a fleshy core of fruit, bright acids and a dense, long, mineral-laced finish. Matured for 18 months in demi-muids, it’s a very pretty wine.”
