Domaine Alary Description
"100% Roussanne. From stony clay soils, grapes are exclusively hand-harvested early in the morning to allow sorting in the vineyard and prevent oxidation. Sorting grapes, direct pressing upon arrival at cellar with a small phase of cold maceration. The nose is fresh and pleasant with notes of honey and white flowers. The palate is crisp and mineral with expressive notes of honey and acacia, and a dry, harmonious finish." - Importer
View from the Cellar: 90 Points
“The 2021 Roussanne “La Grange Daniel” bottling from the Alary family is crafted from twelve year-old vines that are planted on stone terraces, presumably in their home village of Cairanne. The wine is bright and expressive on the nose, wafting from the glass in a mix of lemon, pineapple, stony soil tones, white flowers and orange peel. On the palate the wine is vibrant, full-bodied, focused and complex, with a fine spine of acidity, lovely balance and grip and a long, bouncy finish. This is very good Roussanne and a great bargain! 2022-2032.” VFC
