Ever wondered what two of the finest producers in Burgundy would do with Provencal rose? Well this is it! In 1990 Jacques Seysses, founder of Domaine Dujac, and Aubert de Villaine, co-director of Domaine de la Romanee Conti, founded Domaine Triennes. Located in Nans-les-Pins, southeastern France, just 30 kilometers from the Mediterranean, their estate enjoys a warm sunny climate with a maritime influence. Just as with great Burgundy, this rose is all about finesse. A blend of Cinsault, Syrah, Grenache, and Merlot, it strikes that perfect balance between pure fruit and minerality. Floral notes on the nose, lifted with peach, strawberry, and orange zest. Light and pure on the palate, with delicate acidity, it's soft and textural on the tongue leading into a long seamless finish that's fresh with white pepper and minerals. This is a quintessential Provencal rose.
Wine Advocate: 91 Points
"Jacques Seysses, from Domaine Dujac, and Aubert de Villaines, from iconic Domaine de la Romanée Conti, have teamed up with Michel Macaux, a Parisian, to acquire a 46-hectare Mediterranean estate. The 2022 IGP Mediterranee Rosé, mostly Cinsault alongside Grenache, Syrah and Merlot, exhales a fresh, delicate bouquet with aromas of red berries, lemon, pomegranate, wild strawberry and spices. Juicy, fresh and perfectly balanced, with a delicate, sappy texture, it’s long with mineral acids, iodine notes and a penetrating, mouthwatering finish. This is worth hunting down."
