Arguably one of the top five producers in all of the Southern Rhone, dynamic owner/winemaker Christophe Sabon combines the best of both traditional and modern techniques to produce some of the most elegant, yet seductive wines in all of the Rhone. Of course, it starts in the vineyard, where his father and winery founder, Aime, takes meticulous care of the family's vineyards. Farming organically, Aime coaxes the best the earth has to offer from over 70 different parcels throughout the appellation.
Combined, this father/son dynamic duo produce a lavishly ripe wine, that is also complex and balanced with acidity -- often in contradiction to an appellation better known for sheer exuberance and power. This wine is polished, yet intense. Concentrated, yet balanced. Full of fruit yet possessed of an inner earthiness that haunts the palate. I cannot get enough of their wines...
Perhaps the best part is how versatile this wine is on the table. The combination of ripe, juicy fruit, medium tannins, hints of earth and minerailty and moderate acidity give this wine all the right pieces to pair with all the right dishes! As the weather alternates between warm and cool, this is ideal for tailgating or a post-game grill. You’ll find it marvelously suited for burgers, ribs, grilled chicken and the like. Hmmm… sausage with peppers and onions? Sure! Better still, this baby has a natural affinity for things like mac and cheese and baked beans, so you’ve got all your side dishes covered too! Then, tuck some away for the cooler months to come, because nothing pairs better with braised dishes than a Rhone red!

Plenty of cherries, wild berries, cassis and Mediterranean herbs on the nose. Medium body with velvety tannins. Juicy fruit in the center with a crunchy character at the finish. Drink now.
