While Chenin is normally associated with the Loire, this is grown on the foothills of the Pyrenees mountains in limestone and clay soil. While these grapes might normally be destined for the rustic sparkling Cremant de Limoux, here it enjoys a longer ripening period for a concentrated and fresh take that leans into the ripe fruit and delectable herb flavors. The name “Soie D’Ivoire” translates roughly as “ivory silk”, a nod to the soft and smooth texture that makes this so wonderfully drinkable.

Here is a fresh, fruity and pleasant Chenin Blanc expressing notes of white peaches, quince peel and dried herbs. It’s medium-bodied with fresh acidity. Succulent and playful with a comforting finish. (90 points previous vintage)
