Paul Laurent Description
"The Gruet family’s roots in Champagne date back to 1952 when Gilbert Gruet founded Champagne Gruet in the Val de Marne. In 1987, he decided to broaden his horizons and started a winery in America – known today as Gruet Winery in New Mexico. In 1993, entrusting Gruet Winery in the care of 2 of his children, he returned to Bethon France to continue building Champagne Paul Laurent. Today, this family-owned and operated business is committed to keeping the family’s passion at the heart of their work. The 3rd generation is still in the continuation of their grandparent’s dream of creating consistently delicious champagne to be shared with loved ones. Crafted eco-responsibly, all cuvées are in the image and the values of the family itself – simplicity, authenticity, and a product of love and hard work.
75% Pinot Noir • 20% Chardonnay • 5% Meunier from sustainably farmed vines, no herbicides or pesticides used. All hand-harvested from 20+ year olds vines planted in clay and limestone in the village of Bethon, just south of Epernay.
The predominance of Pinot Noir in this delicious Champagne is apparent in the bright, berry fruit aromas and the rich, mouth-filling texture. The Chardonnay lends liveliness and provides the mineralaccented notes of bright citrus, pear, and crushed stone, leading to a pleasantly long, clean finish." - Importer
