"Yes, Raul now makes an Ultreia wine from this vineyard. Here, he blends a parcel planted in 1920 with one from 1980. Like the Ultreia offering, the combination of clay soil and northern exposure make for a cooler climate and a more piercing style. Raul says El Rapolao is “the one that talks back the most, but you have a soft spot for.” As Raul has said, this is the most reserved right now, but might have the most potential. "There is more freshness in the 2020 La Vizcaína El Rapolao, where I even found notes of eucalyptus. It's medium-bodied and has fine tannins, very tasty and balanced. There are two new plots in 2020, so they produced some 7,500 bottles. He wants to reach 20,000 bottles here, and there will be a white Rapolao from a plot that he planted with Godello."
