"The Chianti Classico zone is large and varied, stretching from the suburbs of Florence in the north to the outskirts of Siena in the south. Soil and aspect vary greatly within the zone. As a result, there are those who argue that the zone should be divided into subzones, or into communes, as in the Médoc [Bordeaux, France]. "From the estate's Tenuta San Giovanni Vineyard, this is a blend of equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc aged in oak for 16 months. The Tolaini 2019 Valdisanti is quite generous and rich, with thick layers of dark fruit, black cherry, pencil shaving, tar and licorice. Best After 2022."
