Anyway, this little gem was the clear winner! Made by Samantha Sheehan of POE wines, one of Food & Wine Magazine’s “15 Women to Watch in Wine!” It’s got a baller label and tastes like $30 Cab. Perfect for gift-giving… they don’t need to know how much it really cost! Classic aromas of black currants give way to black cherry and plum flavors supported by surprisingly hefty tannins that will cut through any cut of steak. Insider’s tip… I have been known to enjoy a Cabernet with a bowl of pasta Bolognese. Seems like sacrilege, I know… but don’t knock it till you’ve tried it!
