With the smallest amount of neutral oak used to soften the naturally edgy acidity of Chardonnay (just 7% of the juice) and zero malolactic fermentation, this Chardonnay is light but textural with a zesty citrus, herbal-tinged core, tones of flinty minerality and driving acidity through the finish. When I’m craving a crisp white, I know unoaked Chardonnay will deliver the cleanest, purest refreshment. The Felino Chardonnay is the epitome of this style. I see it sitting perfectly next to a fresh summer salad with seasonal grilled veggies and white fish.
Jeb Dunnuck: 93 Points
“The 2024 Chardonnay Felino is an entry-level white that spends very little time in oak, blending grapes from both Valle de Uco and Lujan de Cujo. Simply made, it's still an impressive wine, rounded in medium-bodied, pure apple and pear, with delicate spice notes and a lengthy palate of refined texture. Drink now through 2030.”
James Suckling: 92 Points
“This shows sliced green apples with a touch of ginger and dried pineapple. The palate is round and pleasant with good volume and a fruit-forward finish. A small portion (7%) is aged in French oak barrels. No malolactic fermentation. Drink now.”
