Spiced and cedary nose with dark berries, cocoa and hints of walnuts. Some earthy notes. Full-bodied, deep and succulent, with velvety tannins and juicy acidity. Layered and generous. Drink or hold.

The 2020 If Six Was Nine is high-toned fruity-floral-driven red offering loads of ripe red berry fruit, loamy earth, graphite, sweet oak and savoury bay leaf notes. Full and round with tart red cherry and blackberry fruit, undertones of sandalwood and vanilla, and a salty mineral component. Winemaker Jonathan Maltus is best known for his Le Dome wine from Chateau Teyssier in Saint-Émilion. Seek out his World's End Beckstoffer single-vineyard bottlings in this vintage.
