Billaud-Simon Description
94 points Tim Atkin
"This is a mighty fine example of Vaulorent, given its dignified structural posture and cool but complex scents. The palate reels off flavors of white tea, Mandarin orange and warm waffle. The robust acidity keeps the dense mouthfeel in line and pulls the flavors into a solid finish highlighted with crushed stone nuances. These 37 ares of purchased fruit are vinified in barrel and stainless steel." - Christy Canterbury, MW
Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy: 91-94 Points
"Made from purchased grapes, in a mix of wood and stainless steel. Pale lemon yellow in colour. The bouquet is precise and stylish, not one of the most opulent of Vaulorent wines until the second half of the palate. Fresh citrus notes and a little iodine deliver a classic character. Medium plus length. Drink from 2027-2032." - Jasper Morris, MW
Burghound: 91-93 Points
"Soft wood influence can be found on the cooler if still markedly ripe aromas of white orchard fruit, shellfish and quinine. The wood can also be found on the palate of the finer but somewhat less generous flavors that offer better depth and persistence on the dry and citrusy finale. Lovely. Drink: 2030+." - Allen Meadows
Decanter: 91 Points
"Elegant, plenty of drive here, as expected from this top site. Mineral notes to the fore. Relatively early drinker. Produced from purchased grapes. Drinking Window: 2024-2029." - Andy Howard, MW
